Special Family Moments
Growing up, something very special for me was doing my sisters' hair for any special events they had. Homecoming, Prom, Graduations, Weddings, you name it. Doing hair for my sisters over the years has been one of my FAVORITE things! Just a few weeks ago I had the privilege of doing my baby sister's hair for her Senior Prom.
Oftentimes I find that the moments that really leave an impact on you aren't the super extravagant or crazy ones. It's the moments of trust, companionship, and bonding that stand out. For me, doing my sisters' hair over the years was that kind of moment.
Spending hours in the top story bathroom of our family home, listening to music and wishing the bathroom had an AC unit. The methodical curling of their hair was like therapy, and pinning and braiding it into a stylish updo or braid was like art. Talking to my sisters one-on-one was meaningful and impactful.
Needless to say, I've enjoyed doing this over the years, and look forward to more special events in the future where I'll get to do it again!
